The 15^th IFAR summit, hosted by Singapore Agency for Science Technology and Research - A*STAR at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel from October 22^nd to 25^th, saw over 60 attendees from 18 publicly funded aeronautic research institutions from across the globe.

The central themes of the Summit were MRO and Sustainable aviation, with focused discussion around technologies to address current and emerging challenges. 

ICAS (International Council for the Aeronautical Sciences) President Dimitri Mavris highlighted approaches to attract and help young researchers in their careers. From ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), Yuri Fattah, spoke on behalf of Michele Merkle, Director of the Navigation Bureau, on the mutual benefit of cooperation between the two institutions.
